Welcome to the garden
We grow a wide variety of vegetables and berries that we use to make all out canned goods. Fresh vegetables and berries are available in the farm stand come summertime!

Goats!
We are so excited to add goats to the farm! Eventually we want to do goat milk and goat cheese but for now we are still learning and will grow as we go! We have 2 alpines Stan & Bruce who are 6 months old. Then we have 2 Norwegian dwarves Patty who is 9 and Linda who is 5!
Eggs!
We have 16 egg layers! In the summer we get about a dozen or more a day and we love selling the eggs to our community! We have copper marans, wyandonettes, brahmas, olive eggers, black sex links, white Plymouth’s, Rhode Island reds, barred rocks, and Norfolk greys! We got quite the mix of chickens that would withstand the winter and summers here in Vermont but especially would give us beautiful eggs! Looking forward to spring and lots of eggs!

Bees!
Our bees are from Westfield VT. They made the journey here to Highgate and were quickly happy and at home! We got so much honey this first year and we couldn’t be more grateful. They had a huge garden and flower garden to collect pollen from and I think that is a big reason they thrived!
